These are steel bulkhead fittings that have a BSP thread on one end marked as A in the diagram and the other end is JIC marked as B.
They are made from steel and have a plated finish for corrosion resistance.
These fittings should allways be used whenever a hose needs to pass through a firewall, bulkhead or cover etc, it is not good practice to pass the hose directly through the hole without this fitting as there is a risk of the hose rubbing against the sharp edges of the hole and leaking.
These hose fittings are re-usable and provide secure leak free connections and are suitable for fuel, oil, coolants, methanol and water in racing applications
